"Draw your Song!"

Assalamualaikum..

This is one of my lesson plans. I call it "Draw your song". The main objectives for this activity are:
1) to practise students' listening skills.
2) imagine the situations in the song
3) draw!! Drawing competition.

The pre-listening activity: T shows pics of fruits. And prompt a few Qs to the Ss.

While activities: - Ss listen to the song for the first time, without looking at the lyric.
- Ss are given a drawing paper. Ss are asked to draw whatever comes to their mind when they listen to the song.
- T plays the song for the second time. Ss are given time to finish their drawing (15 mins)
- Ss are given the lyric. Ss sing along.
- Ss then draw the song after having a look at the lyric.

Post activities: - 'Vocabulary genius'
- T plays the VC

p/s: This is a drawing competition. it will be judged based on the contents; their understanding of the song, and drawing skills..i havent carried out this lesson yet. Am going to try it with the Form3 kids (to let them chill out a bit after the pressure i've been putting on them. aha)
