Fairy Tales!

I did my own theme for 2Amanah class this week. It was "FAIRY TALES". I started the lesson by probing them to give a few titles for the fairy tales. The answers that i got varied from "Si Tenggang, Bwg merah Bwg Putih to Snow White, Cinderella, Peter Pan' and so on. Then, i continued with a story-telling session. I read them 'RAPUNZEL'. After the story-telling session, i asked questions (to make sure they really listened to the story). And one of them did an amazing summary of the story. During the story-telling, the students were sitting on the floor (in the Multimedia room) in a very comfortable environment.
After that, the students were given a handout - a short story of Cinderella- They were asked to read it silently and then read aloud. Then, they had to find meanings of difficult words.
Next, they were asked to sit in groups and discuss their own style of a fairy tale. They had to twist the storyline from the old fairy tale and make it their own styles. Soon, i received a few titles of their stories.
"THE LONG HAND" "SNOW WHITE" "TWIN'S BIRTHMARK" "BEAUTY AND THE BEAST" "GRETHEL AND HANSEL" "JORCH" "THE SERPENT LOOKING FOR A WIFE"
They came out with their own stories. Finally, i asked them to prepare for the short sketch. And they acted very well. We had joy during these lessons...
