Well, hi guys!
Today is my 6th day of surviving in Gua Musang. well, not too bad as i have someone to refer to, to rely on to. Thanks to her~ My old friend in secondary school..Kak Ti.. =)
How should i begin? On the first day arriving in this school, i was extremely nervous. First thing in my mind was..."is the principal nice?" That was my main concern. Well, maybe i was thinking too much. But, my prestasi mainly depends on him. it turned out that he was really a nice man. He welcomed me with open arms. Thank u Allah! Then, my next question was.."how about the PKP?" haha~ I am concerned with my working surrounding, actually. I know that i can handle communicating with students, but i am not good in communicating with someone older than me. I feel inferior with the more 'experienced' people.
Let me give a brief view of the school. The name of the school "Smk Chiku 2" and it is located in the Felda Chiku 1 with 70 teachers and around thousand students (including the Orang Asli (OA)students from Cameron). The school was launched on 2003, so it is a new school with new buildings.
During the whole week, i wasn't teaching yet. I had no schedule as the admin still in the process of 'transfering teachers' in and out. So, what did i do during the four days? I started lapor diri on Monday morning. Booked my table in the teachers' room. Introduced myself to the new teachers (they are all teachers with a lot of experiences, just transferred from Selangor, Perak, Sabah etc.) and not to forget, to the cikgu-cikgu lama at that school.
Third day in the school, i went into K.Ti's class where she taught F1 Science. That day, i managed to observe how the OA behave in the classroom. well...they seemed to know and understand what the teacher was teaching. Not bad.
The forth day, i went touring the whole school. i went to Kooperasi, bilik Kaunseling, Makmal, library (it's really comfortable with the air-con on), Surau amali and so on. And today i was given a responsibility as a S/U Biasiswa. And i accepted it with an open-mind (I'll get to learn new things and experience something).
Fifth day, i was still hanging around in the teachers' room and school without having anything to do. No relief class, no timetable, no tugas...Well, lingering without anything to do in this room..somehow made me uncomfortable since i dun hv my own place and table yet. O i wished i had somewhere to hide and something to do. (Feeling of homesickness growing in my mind! It's true. yet, i didn't cried) this will make me grow stronger than ever. I'm giving myself a year to stay here. Then, i'll see what can i do. haha~
i will be given schedule next week. and i'm sure that i get to teach English for F1 and F2. Since next week will be the 3rd week of teaching, i won't be needing the superb ice-breaking session. ha ha~ Maybe i just test the students' level of proficiency in english and ask them to write about themselves. That's all. The reality is not what u think it is. Accept it.
I think it's time to stop. I'm using my friend's laptop and it's not a good idea to hold someone's property that long.
WARNING!
This blog is written in conditions where the writer cannot really focus and think. So, the idea of the story will be everywhere. LOL!
