Legaa...

Legaa..Well. Yup. I've been feeling sooo anxious these few days. It's regarding my SPP interview..And i've just finished the interview in about an hour ago. Let me describe a bit what happened during the interview..

The story goes...

I was the third person to be called. The interviewer was Dato' A. He seemed nice and kind. The session only took place around 10 - 15 mins, why? Because Dato' was in a hurry. He needs to catch a flight in the afternoon. Lucky for us..

My session started with the brief introduction and after he looked through my degree certificate and all the information in the document, he asked me to speak in English. I knew it!! Ye la...as expected la kan.

1) He asked me why i chose to be in the teaching field instead of doing accountancy and earn more money....
2) About my family and siblings.
3) The 8 Parts of Speech and an example for each parts. ( Guess what? I was so blank and what i did was just kept smiling. Then he told me that parts of speech are things that we need in order to create complete sentences..Heckss..i know but i was speechless. These are things that should be at my fingertips already. But i don't knw why i was soo speechless and stutter)
4) The objectives of the PIPP
5) NEP (in English)
6) Menteri Pelajaran and the Deputy
7) One current issue - i told him about virus H1N1 but he said that he heard enough about it. he asked for another current issue. Tak sempat i wanna tell him about 'road thugs', he asked me first. About our latest economy condition. Haihhhh... bab ni la aku paling lemah. Then, dengan mengarutnye (in English) i talked about the turn in our economy. Talked about workers being retrenched and the availability of the jobs but only 1000 sign up for that. About the increasing price...bla bla bla... Then...he asked me "How many percentage of our economy growth/gross do you think?" Hah..amik kau. Sape tahu?? Angkat tangan and sile jawab.. Dengan mengarutnye i said " i'm not sure but i guess around 20%" He was shocked and then he said "If our economic growth is that high, our country should be rich and your salary might be around RM20 000." HA HA HA (AKU GELAK JE LA..) Then he told me that in our history, the highest that our economy can go is around 10-11%. And now, we are at the 5% level...our economy growth is dropping by 1%...We should be lucky and grateful that we are still ok, not like Singapore which is now in a state of kemerosotan economy yg serious.. I kep smiling and nodding my head. HA HA HA..

What can i say about my interview? Overall, i admit that my prestasi in answering those questions is not that good..Lulus ke? I hope so...~Amin

Well, Good luck for all teachers who are going to be interviewed soon. Prepare yourself with the current issues (esp economy and politics)..
